ITINERARY
Aiguafreda: Starting out from the square next to the church, we take the old N-152 in the direction of Vic. After passing the industrial estate, and without crossing the stream of Riera de Martinet, we turn right and take a track which passes above the old people’s home of La Font and which takes us to Aiguafreda de Dalt. We continue along a rocky track on the right, which starts out as a steep climb. We reach the track which will take us to the farmhouse of Mas El Bruger. We veer to the right, following the main track.
We reach a comfortable track which takes us to El Brull along the ridge of Serra de l’Arca. The track follows the markings of the GR-2 (red and white horizontal bars) and offers some great views of the valley of Riera de Picamena, along which the track which will take us back to Aiguafreda runs. To reach the valley, from El Brull we have to follow the road to Collformic for a short section, from which we turn off to take a track on the right at a bend in the road next to a well-looked-after property (another option is to follow the road until coming across the turn off at the cemetery). Shortly after, we take a technical track which descends to the left and which links up to the track which comes down from the cemetery. We follow this track down to right, to the base of the valley. We cross the stream of Riera de Picamena directly below the farmhouse of Mas El Pujol. We meet the track which takes us all the way back to Aiguafreda on the right, following the entire valley in a long descent.
