ITINERARY
We start out from the Plaça Major (main square) in Vic. We go towards the Roman Temple, where we find markings from the PR (Petit Recorregut – short route) which lead to the monastery of Sant Pere de Casserres. We follow the PR marks out of the town: we cross the square of Plaça de la Divina Pastora, then we follow the road which heads off to the left in a north-easterly direction and finally we cross the Vic ring-road and go onto a track. We continue following the PR markings.

We cross the bridge of Pont del Bruguer and leave the PR, taking the path which goes to the right. After crossing a small stream we take a turn to the left in order to reach Calldetenes. At the Plaça de L’església (church square) we take the road on the left towards the cemetery until we find the La Ruta dels Molins, which we come across after passing the final houses in the village. We follow the route along a marked path, passing the old watermills of the Torrent de Sant Martí, finally arriving at Sant Julià de Vilatorta.

We go through the old quarter of the village and head towards the football ground. We have to look for a path to the right of the small hermitage of L’Albareda and, after a few metres, we continue along a track. We reach a junction and follow the sign to the farmhouse of Mas Garbells on the right. At the next junction we continue to the right until reaching the farmhouse. We then start to climb to the right of the house. At the next turning we head off to the left, where we come to a heavy climb. We go to the left of an electricity pylon and then go past a track which climbs to the right. We continue in the same direction until we reach a track on the right which takes us up to the ridge of Serrat del Pi and Puigcastellet. We pass the fort and continue along a rough path that leads down to a track, which we follow to the right to reach the farmhouse of Mas d’en Coll. After the pool belonging to the farmhouse we head off to the left. We come to the road that runs from Folgueroles to Vilanova de Sau, which we follow to the right.

Just after the bridge over the stream of Riera de Tavèrnoles we take the track on the left. We go past a track on the right and then go past a track on the left with PR markings. We start to climb up a small hill where there are various options; we continue to the left towards the farmhouse of Les Punxes. The track takes us to below the castle of El Castell de Savassona. Heading straight on we pass through the barred gates which provide access to a meadow. We then cross the road and take a right turn after a gate, we go round the hill on which the hermitage of Sant Feliuet stands. We reach a meadow with a large block of stone in the middle – we are in a zone with remains from the Iberian civilisation. To the left we see the enormous Pedra del Sacrifici (sacrificial stone).

In the meadow we follow the PR along a path which goes into the wood and goes down to the Coll de Passarella. We then reach a track which we follow to the left, leaving the PR. We now follow the directions for the path GR 210 along the river Ter, which takes us to Roda de Ter passing through Can Ton Xic and Sorralta. At Roda de Ter we have to turn off the path and cross the bridge to reach the small peninsula where the Iberian settlement of L’Esquerda is located.

We go back on ourselves and then follow the river Ter as far as the Vic-Manlleu road. We cross over and continue in the same direction along the main track. We cross a bridge over the train line. We get to the farmhouse of La Comella de Palau and continue on to the road C-17. We cross the road and after the roundabout, on the left, we find the track of Els Perers. We turn off to the right at El Quer. After crossing the road from Gurb to Sant Bertomeu del Grau, we reach Sant Andreu de Gurb: we follow the PR to the left of the church until reaching the tarmac track on the left, which will take us back to Vic after we pass under the C-25.
